children's ministry

Our mission

At Faith United Methodist Church, our desire is to partner with parents in the most important aspect of their children’s lives—that is, their growth and purpose in relationship with Jesus Christ. Through worship, Sunday school, and Bible study, we create fun and meaningful avenues for your children to learn that God created them, God loves them, Jesus wants to be their friend, and God can be trusted to help them make wise choices and treat others with respect. We strive to collaborate with parents during each phase of their children’s lives in sending these important messages home.

  • Sunday Mornings - K-5th Grade*

9:00 AM - Children are invited to join us in a Sunday school class during this hour.  Please stop by the Welcome Desk for check-in tags and room numbers for each grade.

10:30 AM is our time for Kids Worship.  We have two different groups for a fun, age-appropriate worship time.  Children 3-5 years old will worship together in the nursery wing and elementary students will worship in our 2nd floor Children's room above the nursery wing.  Please stop by the Welcome Desk for check-in tags and directions.

Your children are always welcome to join us in Worship!  *Look for special Worship Packets at our Welcome Centers for your child which includes activity pages that are aligned with the theme for that month's Sunday school and worship lessons.

  • Nursery and Childcare

Faith provides nursery care for infants through pre-k from 8:15 until 11:45 AM on Sunday mornings. Faith also provides childcare during weekday adult studies and special events. All nursery staff have been properly trained and facilitate a loving, nurturing environment for the children that attend.

  • Wednesday Bible Study 6:00-8:00 pm

3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are invited to attend an evening of food, fellowship, worship, and Bible study during the school year. Dinner is $3 and starts at 6pm. Worship starts at 6:40 above the nursery wing in the IGNITE room and is followed by games and Bible Study. Pick-up starts at 8 in front of the annex.

Each fall, all  3rd graders who begin attending Midweek Bible study are presented with a personally engraved Children's Bible. This is a big event in the life of the church. Families are encouraged to join us in specially wrapping them, joining us for a special breakfast, and then the presentation of the Bibles in service.
